It is Friday again...and time for my weekly fill in the blank post. It is fun...try it! 1. Angel or not, I will behave myself to the best of my ability while I am in Las Vegas . 2. I am pretty sure that my husband would love it if I said to him, "Take me any way you want me." LOL ! In his dreams! 3. As my mother used to say, you're full of bologna . 4. I am usually pretty energized after I'm done working out or doing something strenuous. 5. Even in the most crowded of rooms I am comfortable . 6. June 26 is a day fraught with peril. 7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a friend's 50th birthday party...it's a surprise (I hope she doesn't read this today!) , tomorrow my plans include flying to Las Vegas, sight seeing and then seeing a show and Sunday, I want to shop in Vegas...will be there all week ! A few weeks ago, I spent a weekend on a retreat that was dedicated entirely to Spiritual Gifts. I have taken Spiritual Gift inventories before, but this was a new format for me. Also, it has been several years since I last did one, so I was curious to see what, if anything, might have changed. The last four years of my life have been spent in a very unexpected place for me, spiritually, and I had not been using my gifts (or so I thought) for some time. Upon taking the test, the same gifts - yes - did manage to work their way to the top of the list. Not to toot my own horn, by any means, but discernment is one of my highest gift results. It so happens that I don't like this gift at all....not really, anyway. Returning tonight from a weekend away with a friend who I love to hang out with, who I love to talk to, and who is one of the genuine pearls in my life. We have seen each other through some of the very best times in our lives, and some of the very worst. She lives in San Antonio and I, in Dallas, so we try (and so far successfully) to see each other at least twice a year. One of our favorite trips is to Salado, TX, which is where we spent this weekend. I love to make this trip in the spring because the Blue Bonnets are blooming in full force. I have a difficult time keeping my eyes on the road because the bright blue mounds against the fresh green spring grass excite my eyes so much. This year, I stopped to take pictures, excited to play with them and post a few on my blog. When I got home, I found that somehow I had reformatted my memory card and lost them all. What a disappointment! I also lost the ones of my friend, Susan, and I too. That made me even more sad. But what ...

Living life in spite of the unexpected! We still had a good week. :)
