Fun, Fabulous, Fantastic, and Friday!

Thank goodness it's Friday!
Every week, Friday gets here and I think to myself,
"I am so glad that it's Friday.
I might be happier that it is Friday this week then I ever have been."
Then,
I realize,
I thought the same thing last week.
:)
1. We need _God. After that, He gives us everything we need!_

2. _My mom and my daughter woke me up with a lit birthday cake, "Happy Birthday song" at 4:55 a.m. yesterday_ and it made me smile.

3. If you want to _eat whatever you want, you need to exercise to keep a healthy body._

4. _I want to take a nap_ because _it's cold and rainy outside._

5. Massachusetts has a proposed 5% sales tax on elective cosmetic surgery; I think _it doesn't matter much to me...I hope to never live there. (it is TOO cold)_

6. _Having my family all home_ makes for a happy holiday.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to _dinner with my family and meeting my son's new girlfriend-this time as his girlfriend, tomorrow my plans include _well...that's a suprise...I better not say (a suprise birthday party for a friend...sshhhhhh!!!!!)_ and Sunday, I want to _go to worship services, and see a movie!_

Happy, Happy Weekend!

Do you want to know something funny? I just came over here via Paula's blog (where she talked about insecurity in friendship with other women--she likes me she likes me not) and when I (accidently) clicked on your other blog it said I wasn't invited to view your blog. Isn't that just hilarious? God cracked me up. I immediately felt rejected. Okay, just for a second, but anyway... I know it's true... He gives us everything we need! Hope you are having a nice weekend. It's nice to meet you!
Love,
Angie xoxo

I came here after reading your comment on Paula's blog. I jotted down a few of your thoughts in my journal. One thing that I need to keep reminding myself of is "All I know to do is be the best friend I know how to be and let God take care of the rest."
I have a friend who I've known for years....since we were young teens. We have such fun memories.
Something has happened over the years and we've just grown apart. I try....and feel ignored. I know everyone's busy etc. but it tends to really bother me at times. So, I needed to read Paula's post and I needed to read your comment. I know deep in my heart that God never changes and He wants me to lean on Him, and I do. He truly is my best friend!
I have lots of really good friends, but this one situation just tends to bother me often. I guess I just wonder "why & did I do something?"
So, I need to do just what you said and be the best friend I can be.
Thanks again and it's nice to meet you!
Hugs from Oklahoma,
Valerie

I Got A Feeling....

that this is gonna be a good, good year!!!!!! I have great expectations! And I don't make New Year's Resolutions, but I do like goals. And prayers. I know God will answer prayers, and there are a few that I look forward to seeing the answer to, hopefully in 2010. It would be great if love and peace and forgiveness would win out in a few broken relationships. I am still praying. And I am look forward to how my marriage will become more wonderful, as it does every year! My health should improve since I am training for a triathlon. I lost 23 pounds in 2009. I look forward to losing about 15 to 20 more. Completing the Caveman triathlon with a couple of my very good friends is a goal that I am excited to achieve! It is going to be fun to see what God is going to do because I said "yes" to Him and stepped up into Home Group leadership with my church. And my church.... I have to say I am amazed and thrilled to love my church! What a blessing after so many years of being a s...

Gone

A fire burns behind me I run to keep ahead Those who I once cared for becoming cold and dead Red and black the flames grow high Smoke rises in the air The pain of my unworthiness Seems more than I can bear In front of me I see the sun I long to feel it's heat The iciness inside my heart has paralyzed my feet I see the moon, I see the stars They swirl and dance for me I see the hole, the big dark hole Where one star used to be

Behind Those Eyes - Chapter 8

We are completely loved and accepted completely. That is the chapter title this week and it is such good news! It is news that I have heard before, but news that I was glad to hear again. Lisa's story at the end of the chapter touched my heart...you know, the one where she woke up the morning after her prayer asking God to let her know that they were okay. The song in her head, that really was in her heart is awesome. I have had those times. Recently, I have had quite a few. The last few months (years maybe?) have been a little difficult. Some days I have wondered, "Does He REALLY love me?" And then some sort of confirmation will come along, He will let me know that we are okay and my heart sings. His love is gentle. His love is perfect. His love is comforting. And his love is absolutely unconditional. My blog time is shortened this week due the death in my family. My post is short, but honest and heartfelt. This week, I had a couple of conversations with a good...
